Barring something unforeseen, I will be seeing an early screening next Wednesday! This is quite possibly the most excited I've been for a movie ... ever. Plus, the reviews have been overflowing with praise, even from people who wanted to hate it but had to admit they enjoyed it.
I officially consider you a traitor to the Movie Mark (including YOU, G~Dogg) if you do not see this at the theater.

Uh... I guess this means I should try to find the second one first? Or do you think I could see this as a stand-alone movie?

Uh... I guess this means I should try to find the second one first? Or do you think I could see this as a stand-alone movie? I think you can see it as a stand-alone. I'll let you know for sure next Thursday, but I'm willing to bet that you won't be lost if you haven't seen one or both of the prequels. It might help to have some familiarity with the original trilogy though.

Will you, Johnny? Will you really?
Haven't I done enough for this site to be exempt from that? Because I really REALLY REALLY don't want to see it in the theater (I don't even really want to see it on DVD, but as long as I'm not paying for the rental, I can knit through it).
Rhi - don't bother watching episode 2, seriously. Save yourself the whining and teenage fit throwing (which is, apparently, the only thing Anakin knows how to do). If you MUST watch it, skip to end - all you need to see is the final fight scene (it's the only thing that saved it for me...I paid actual money to see that crap in the theater!).
If episode 3 is indeed better (ie: No Jar Jar, no whining Anakin - okay, okay, I know I can't hope for that, so we'll go with less whining Anakin, and many, many hot scenes of Ewan, then I might see it).

Will you, Johnny? Will you really? Yes, Ms. Cali, I will. How can you not want to see Revenge of the Sith in the theater?? It just might turn out to be one of the 5 best movies ever. Period. There, I said it. The trailers are awesome, and the reviews have been tremendous. Plus, Jar Jar is only in the background very briefly, and I've been told he doesn't talk. And Rhi, Attack of the Clones is NOT crap. Is it perfect? Nah. Anakin can be whiney, but wasn't Luke Skywalker? Did that detract from the original Star Wars? No! There are definitely moments of questionable dialogue and acting, but the movie is still entertaining. The battle scenes are exciting to watch, and the special effects are awe-inspiring. People act like the two Star Wars prequels have been the equivalent of re-releasing Troll 2 to the big screen, and I just don't get it. Anakin is no less whiney than Tobey MacGuire and his high-pitched squeal in Spiderman, and I can tell you that the love story in Spiderman is infinitely worse than that in Attack of the Clones. At least AotC doesn't have Kirsten Dunst spewing out laughable lines like, "Go get 'em Tiger!" Methinks Ms. Cali has some sort of built-in bias against the Star Wars prequels, and I must figure out a way to break her out of it.

I officially consider you a traitor to the Movie Mark (including YOU, G~Dogg) if you do not see this at the theater. I can live with that... ;D I have no desire what so ever to see this movie... I saw SW IV, V, and VI at the theater (when they first came out) and I guess they were good then, but now I just don't care about it anymore....

Despite what Johnny says, I do not have a built-in bias against the prequels. I didn't really care enough to see Episode 1 when it came out (plus, I was working the overnight shift at Walmart, and was really poor, so I didn't get out to the movies much), and then I heard awful things about it, so I didn't want to see it. I had better hopes for Episode 2 (really, Lucas learned his lesson from the first one, right? He had too, right?), and was sorely disappointed to the point that I don't even want to see the final one.
You know it's bad if Ewan is in it and I don't want to see it!
Of course, Mr. Cali keeps telling me I'll end up seeing it because that's what everyone else will be doing that weekend, and I won't want to be left out...

This coming from a guy who can't get enough of the American Ninja series. Never mind that loud crashing sound, folks, it was just the sound of G~Dogg's movie integrity.

I'll take ninjas over vader any day of the week... Vader's suit looks like it was made at Home Depot... Everyone knows ninja have ultimate power!! Please. I don't think anyone knows that. Ninjas are perhaps the most overrated action characters of all time. Vader would choke grip them all or slice through their puny katanas with his lightsaber and wouldn't even break a sweat.
