Release Date: June 17, 2005
Plot: When fate prevents him from avenging the deaths of his parents, young Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) flees to Asia where he seeks counsel from a dangerous ninja cult leader known as Ra's al Ghul (Ken Watanabe). When he returns, Bruce finds that Gotham City has become overrun with crime and corruption, and that there are forces at work trying to remove him from his inherited place as the owner of Wayne Industries. Discovering a cave under Wayne Manor, Bruce assumes a new identity as a secret detective and guardian of the people of Gotham City against the criminals that plague them...
My Take: The cast is great, but the thing that intrigues me most is the fact that Christopher Nolan (Memento[/], Insomnia) is directing. This is gonna be a darker, more atmospheric Batman. And a script review claims there is a great, unexpected twist in the movie. I've got high hopes for this one, as it's one of my most anticipated movies of all of 2005.

I'm eager for Batman just because hey, it's Batman, but *whew* they better do something constructive with this one. [Batman Forever was my favorite.]

All I can say is Christian Bale better be shirtless in this one! Yeah, I really am only going to watch it for that:) Tell you what, if Bale is NOT shirtless in it, then I'll put a picture of myself topless in the review. That way, everybody goes home happy.

Ah, it's the ol' "Take your shirt off it and prove it, Johnny" ploy. Quite obvious, but I can't blame you.

Hey Johnny, which batman movie did you think was the best? It's a toss-up between Batman and Batman Forever. I liked the dark tone of Batman, and I thought Jack Nicholson was a very good Joker. I think Batman Forever is underrated. Great cast. And I liked the comic book feel. It contrasted nicely with the dark tone of Batman. I didn't care too much for Batman Returns, and I still haven't made it all the way through the stench-fest that is Batman and Robin. Don't forget the original Batman with Adam West though, it's a camp classic!

Next question, Who do you think played the best Batman? I actually didn't think Michael Keaton did a bad job, but he still didn't look the part when he was out of the suit. So I'm gonna have to say Val Kilmer was my favorite Batman. But I'm really interested in seeing Christian Bale's characterization. How about you?

I thought Micheal Keaton did a good as Batman. Christian Bale looks like his going to be a good Batman. If I had to put them in order it would be: 1. Micheal Keaton 2.Val Kilmer AND 3. That Clooney fellow. What's your rank Johnny?
