(RE: History of the World, Part I)
What have I done?!? I feel so ashamed that my so-called "Million Dollar Idea" has killed some of Johnny's cherished childhood movie memories!
I swear - it wasn't my intention to join the forum so that I could sneakily interject a seemingly harmless concept and then sit back and watch the carnage that was sure to follow... I'm not that evil - or clever, honest!
Maybe the next retro review should be something safe - something that you know will hold up - say, "Back to the Future" or "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" or, hell, "The Princess Bride" - just so that something as pure and sacred as "young love" (of certain admittedly silly and simple movies) can be preserved!
Oh, the humanity!!!

Don't worry, it's more entertaining when I'm given a rude awakening. Besides, I've been wanting to rewatch movies such as History of the World, so it's better that I now have the Retro Reviews as an outlet to vent should my childhood memories be tarnished. Disappointment provides inspiration. If I watch a movie and love it just as much as I did when I was a kid then I have to work harder to write something worth reading. And believe me, I'm all for working easier!
