All right, give me some feedback here! Here are three logos I put together fairly quickly. The first one is supposed to allude to the website hitting the mark. Man, I'm clever. 1. 2. 3. Which one do y'all prefer? Do you have any suggestions? I tried to keep it fairly simple. Thanks!

How about making the "O" in "Movie" a bull's eye? You could print "Movie in big letters and then have the word "mark" in smaller letters hitting the bull's eye.

in any place other than your banner on the website, that lettering looks funny to me. I never noticed it looking funny on the front page of the website though.
And I have to say, Laslo's idea sounds very nice...

Here's a stab at Laslo's idea: And a slight variation: My main concern with this one is does it make it too confusing for people to figure out what exactly the website address is? I have to send the logo in by tomorrow. I have another idea I'll post shortly which has a bit of a superhero insignia feel to it...

I like this last one. Or, if you want to go with Laslo's Idea, maybe do The Movie Mark (with the o in movie as a target) and then underneath it www.themoviemark.comBut I do like the last one you posted:)

My initial reaction to the newest one was that I wasn't sure at first what I was looking at. The double M over the bull's eye is a little too busy for my taste. I think you're on the right track, though.

So would you drop the M's altogether? Or instead of having a separate target within the circle, maybe make the dark blue circle the target?
I think *something* needs to be in there to keep it from looking empty. Trying to resolve, trying to resolve...

I would, indeed, or drop the M's or make them smaller. The main part of the logo is the word 'Moviemark' and in that last one that part gets pushed away by the cicle and the M's. I would also not thy to break that into bits, but leave it as a whole with an image to give it more strength. Else you'll get Laslo's reaction and people won't know what it is they're looking at let alone that they'll recognize it. Also, if I may, I would be carefull with the 3d effect, tents to grab the attention away from the actual message. Simplicity is the secret.

All right, let's try this. Stephanie put a lot of effort into this one, so I send her a HUGE thank you. We decided to make the M's smaller and of a different color. I also wanted to keep everything contained within the target. I think the 3-D effect is fairly subtle.

While reading this post I got an idea too, send them to your email. Maybe you can use them or maybe not.

Oh... me likes this one bunches. I'm assuming that "Themoviemark.com" is supposed to look like another ring in a target right? It doesn't - but it's coming close. I think if it wrapped more than half-way around the circle it would pull it off though. Perhaps if you stretched the letters a little further apart and added "WWW"? *then* I think it would be my favorite.

MUCH better. Simpler is always stronger. I wouldn't add "www," though. Anyone who doesn't know that every website starts with those three letters doesn't deserve to be there.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I agree with Laslo - we tried one with "WWW" but in the end I felt it was unnecessary. We originally had "Themoviemark.com" follow the top and bottom arc, but then we decided there was just a bit too much going on. So we went with the top arc going halfway and the quote at the bottom (a variation of Guylian's suggestion - thanks gal!).
Of course, we can always vary this down the road if need be.
Oh, and flipmoot - I like the stuff you sent me - I think I might use them when I do my previews of the TV season since they are more TV-oriented.
