I was sooooooooooooooooo mad when we went to see Ghost Rider this weekend, and this couple came in with their stroller. They sat in the very front row, and I just knew the baby was going to cry the entire time.
Well, I never heard a sound from the baby (probably because I couldn't hear it over the stupid drunk guys behind us that wouldn't shut up - if the movie had been any better, I would have complained to management). But even if a baby sleeps through the movie, doesn't disturb anyone else, etc. the sheer loudness of a theater is incredibly bad for them! Their poor ear drums aren't developed enough to handle it (I mean, studies have shown it's too loud for adults...who in their right mind would bring an infant to the movies?)

Hey... had to revisit this thread... Laslo... I saw 300 today, which was completely and totally awesome, by the way....
Anyhoo... I couldn't believe how many kids were in the movie theater with their parents. Yes the violence was almost pretty it was so stylized, but it's still violence and decapitations, etc... Not to mention the straight from a comic book nudity. I'm no prude, trust me. I wouldn't let my niece or nephew read 300, (not that they'd be interested in it, mind you), but I certainly wouldn't take them to go see it brought to life on the big screen.
*** J.B. is soooooooo right... it should be experience on the big screen. I almost want to go see it again tonight. Alas... my one night for homework.
Speaking of... I must be off. ciao.
