Okay, I know it's starting its third season, but I just saw the first season and I'm curious what others think?
My sister's friend let her borrow the first season of this show and I loved watching it. Very intense drama and I love the crazy love these two damaged brothers have for each other.
I'm very annoyed to learn that my sister's friend does not have the second season and probably won't be getting it soon so I won't be watching the third season when it starts on the 17th. Anyone see the second season? Was it as entertaining as the first season?

I think it looks dumb, boring, and annoying.
Heh. I just never could get enough interest to even try watching this show. But that's okay with me - I watch enough TV as it is.

I love Prison Break. I did indeed watch the second season, and while I still found it entertaining, it isn't quite as good as the first season.
The whole dynamic of being in prison and planning the breakout was just more exciting. But don't worry; season 2 still provides plenty of surprises and twists. I love that the show is not scared whatsoever to kill off anybody it pleases. It really adds an element of tension when you realize you can't count on anybody other than the two main characters to live through each episode.
The second season really picked up steam about 1/3rd of the way through, so being able to watch the entire season all at once will probably make it seem a little more exciting.
I'm definitely on board for the duration of the series.

Just a question, MsCali, why does it look annoying and boring?
Thanks JB. I'd appreciate you checking back with me after you've seen the season premeire on the 17th.

The season 2 finale was really interesting and left you wondering, "Where on earth are they going with this?!?!" so I'm eager to see exactly what happens.

Okay, I've seen the second season JB, and yeah, while they're out of prison, I believe it's even more intense with all the different people chasing them, for all the different reason why all the different people are chasing them, and WHAT WAS WITH THAT ENDING? Sheesh. I will be watching on the 7th just because of that.

Wow, FM, you watched that fast! How long did it take you, 3 or 4 days?
I can't say for sure, but there may have been even more unexpected deaths in season 2 than in season 1. And man, how much do you hate T-bag??? What a well-played, well-written character.
I also like how the show made me totally hate Kellerman, and then completely turned things around and gave him a sympathetic side.
Oh, and I think you meant the 17th rather than the 7th. It debuts this Monday.

Yep, I meant the 17th. My keyboard's been having issues lately and won't type all the characters I hit and I'm too lazy to double check sometimes.... I actually watched it all in two days. Started right after work, didn't sleep but one hour, went to work, then came straight home to finish. It's all about it being on DVD and skipping the begining and end credits. Actually, it's all due to the dang cliffhangers that make it so I'd rather stay up all night finding out what happens next then turn it off and go to bed....yeah, I know, I'm an impatient crazy person who was VERY tired at work the next day. ;D Yes, I just hate T-Bag. They should've shanked him four times over in prison, and COMPLETELY and FINALLY tied him up and left him for the cops 20 times over on the outside! But even he has a "good" side just like Kellerman -- he left Susie Q and her kids go. And as much as I hated Kellerman, I think he pulled off the overly friendly display far better than Kim. I HATE Kim. One major thing I love about Prison Break is the humanizing that all the characters have. The typical sterotype "bad guy" and "good guy" don't exist. Don't get me wrong, there are EVIL and GOOD people in Prison Break, but you get to see all the facets of their characters. Most flat out evil people still have some good qualities/facets and all good people have a dark side(s). I love this show!

Let me get this straight... there's a character... on a show involving a prison... called T-Bag? ;D ;D That's interesting (<--- she says while trying not to laugh.) Anyway... Seriously.... my brother-in-law was given the first season on dvd LAST YEAR. I was hoping to watch it, but he's never opened it and I can't open someone else's present. Now I'm too far behind to catch up before the next season.

The character is called Theadore Bagwell and he's nicknamed T-Bag for short. It's not for drugs. BELIEVE me, you WISH it was for drugs. He's a pedifile, rapist, murderer, and all around completely disgusting guy. The actor does a terrific job of making him truly revolting so I taste bile whenever I see him on screen. Have your brother-in-law open it and then hand it over so you can watch it. What's so hard? I love Wentworth Miller's character -- and it's not just because he's easy to look at. But in fact he does have just beautiful eyes. He'd be better looking if he grew his hair out just a little more..... I just love how self sacrificing, smart, and truly good he is. He does what he feels is right and helps others without expecting anything in return for his good deed(s). I really don't care for the brother's character played by Dominic Percell -- too stupid. Sweet enough when his temper isn't flaring, but just too dumb for my taste and his kid is just as dumb. But I just love the character of Sara! The actress apparently just had her second kid over the summer, but even so I hope she has decent screen time in the first episode of season three because I will miss her if she doesn't. I hope I won't be sadly disappointed tomorrow night and I probably won't even though I am expecting a horrible cliffhanger -- it's the Prison Break way ugh. I'll report back after I've seen it and I expect to hear from you, JB!

I'll report back after I've seen it and I expect to hear from you, JB! Don't worry; I've got the DVR set and I'll have comments ready to go. Welcome to my world - watching Prison Break one frustrating episode at a time. The DVD luxury is no more, and you must suffer like the rest of us! I agree with you regarding the humanizing of the characters. Even with Michael - though he is good, and he's technically doing the right thing, he still has to screw over some good people in order to do it. He used Sara (even though he truly loves us), he used Stacy Keach (after all the kindness Keach showed), etc. And even though they did give T-bag a moment of redemption when he let Susie Q and the girls go, I still want to see him die the most painful death possible.

Yep, DVD luxury is over *sobs*
Even Michael has issues of using/hurting others, but he is always trying to make amends to those he hurts or damages.
Yes, T-Bag needs to die slowly and painfully!

Oh, and I'm not sure I'm willing to say Pope was so nice and kind. He threatened Michael to help with his project (it's better to owe me a favor than the other way around), almost screwed him over by transfering him away from his death row brother just because he can't be faithful and honest with his wife, and throws him in the hole for not wanting to betray a guard (supposedly), lets the guards do whatever evil thing they want, and then threatens to just shoot him later on the outside? AN UNARMED MAN? I'm sorry, I don't feel quite as sympathetic as you do regarding Pope. Now Sara, I truly feel for her because he WAS faking it at first which is still a fact even though he fell for her later and lets T-Bag get out. I'd want to smack him just for that. It was one thing to get his innocent brother out but BAGWELL? Unbelievable. He should have been handcuffed to the table with Lincoln's cuffs and left for the guards. He should have been axed in the head after he lost his hand so Michael could have been free. He should have been tied BOTH hands after the ex guards got the key to the money....sheesh! At least he's in a foregin prison -- though not as bad a one as poor Michael!

Wow. Just WOW.
Looks like a great season start! And you really just feel for Michael. How many enemies can one man have in prison with him? Sheesh!

Yep, excellent start to the season. We have plot twists, we have cliffhangers, we have new allegiances!
I like that they've brought back the "prison break" element. What really makes that interesting is Sona is definitely no Fox River, and this time Michael doesn't have a plan. Can he improvise?
Bellick and Mahone are two other characters that are well-written and multi-faceted. In any other show, Bellick would be a stereotypical, one-dimensional prison guard. But he's one of those guys who I hated at first, then felt sympathy for (come on, Sara turned down his Red Lobster offer!), hated again, and now can't help but feel bad for again.
And Mahone? Same thing. I hated him last season, slowly began to see a glimpse of his humanity, and then totally marked out when he killed the dude in prison last night.
Let the rollercoaster begin!
