Ah, I loved Beautiful Mind. Hate Russell Crowe, but I actually thought he did a magnificient job in that one. I also liked Minority Report, despite the involvement of Tom Cruise, but that's probably just because I expected to hate it.
Johnny, Chicago definitely deserved that Oscar! I don't remember what else was nominated that year, but I do remember not liking any of them:)
Finding Neverland started out pretty good...unfortunately, our bootleg (um, I'm sorry, "Oscar Screener") DVD that Mr. Cali borrowed from his friend started skipping on us about 30 minutes into it, so I can't really tell you how good the rest was.

I enjoyed Finding Neverland. It wasn't awesome or awe-inspiring (do both of those mean the same thing?) but it was an enjoyable show. Oscar worthy? Nah. But I wasn't the least bit surprised that it was nominated.
Besides, one of the main characters was a Newfoundland Dog. You *have* to love a story that stars a newf (ok, so I dont remember Police Academy II, but it evidently stars a Newfy, so I love it by association. And that newfy was my Newfy's grandfather, so very close association).

You're just upset that Crowe can snap Jude Law over his knee without even breaking a sweat ;D

I'm sorry, but even if Police Academy II was starring me I would still think it sucked.

I'll have to go along on two of ones already listed.. My wife and I would rather eat glass than to ever have to watch 'Moulin Rouge' or 'Lost in Translation' again.

So could Julia Roberts apparently. *ching* I'd think getting beat up by Julia Roberts would be the deathblow to anybody's already questionable manhood. Welcome back, Beth! We've missed you. And I agree with Laslo - Julia Roberts defines overrated.

Wow...What's wrong with everybody? I absolutely LOVED Lost in Translation! It rang so true to me, and seeing Murray be...well...Bill Murray, is always such a treat. I'll admit that the story "didn't seem to go anywhere" but who says all stories have to go somewhere? A simple character study of two ships passing in the night (this is a metaphor people...don't make me explain it) can be just as gripping and involving as say...Star Wars!
And speaking of overrated movies-
Star Wars 4- A New Hope...kinda' a snoozer
Sideways- Liked it, but didn't love it...made me an alchoholic, though
Pulp Fiction- Just how cool can every-freaking-body in the whole d**n world be?
Sin City- I liked it exactly as much as I liked the comics, which was about a 6 out of 10...but I still enjoyed it.

Lord of the Rings trilogy, Sorry but Two times in the theater and once at home and you dont need to watch it ever again.
Lost in Translation, Hated it, Couldnt get into it.
Moulin Rouge, My girlfriend watches this and sings along with the songs. I leave the room.

TITANICthe boat sinks I get it I'll never understand how it became the highest grossing movie of all time. It's decent to sit through once, but it made James Cameron way richer than he deserved to be.

I recently saw Bladerunner and I'd have to put it on the list. It wasn't bad, but it was slow in parts and very weird.
I know these two will probably upset some people, but I wasn't impressed with The Godfather 1 or 2. Especially the second one.
